They say sometimes it takes an army to get things off the ground, and that’s exactly what Historic Stonewall Manor will have as we reopen the house to the public after a long Summer and Fall filled with nagging but necessary repairs that prevented us from being open to the public. Historic Stonewall Manor is happy to announce that we will host our Annual Fall Living History/Reenactment event the weekend of November 16th & 17th.
We will be joined by OLDE SOUTH BLACKSMITH, TARHEEL SUTLERY, YELLOW ROSE SUTLERY, LATHAMS BATTERY 13NC CO.B, N.C.NAVAL SQUADREN, EDENTON BELL BATTERY 3RD NC CO.B, BATTERY 10TH NC CO.D, DIXIE LAND ARTILLERY, THE BLACK RIVER TIGER ROSES CHAPTER 50 NORTH CAROLINA SOCIETY CONFEDERATE ROSES, THE TARHEEL CIVILIANS, TAR RIVER DUCLIMERS AND MATHEW BRADY, RENOWNED CIVIL WAR PHOTOGRAPHER.
There will be hands on activities such as spinning and weaving, blacksmith demonstrations, live music, historical photography displays and photography lessons, cannon fire, skirmishes, musket shooting and more. There will be sutlers with unique period merchandise for sale as well as concessions. We encourage those that haven’t attended one of these events to join us and take a step back into time and see what life was like for men, women and children during the Civil War Period. For those that have attended, we welcome you back and hope you’ll enjoy this event as much as you have enjoyed others.
We will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 11-4; fees are $5.00 – adults, $3.00 – seniors, $2.00 – children (6 and under free). For more information, email us at
